Licensing Exam Report Card
When a student successfully completes their program in Cosmetology, Esthetics or Nail Technology at Tennessee Career Institute, they become eligible to take the state licensing examination required by the Board of Cosmetology. The organization contracted by the state Board to test candidates is called PSI (http://candidate.psiexams.com/).
PSI publishes a report each month that shows how a school is doing compared to other schools in the state. For each Program, the examination is taken and reported in two parts, Theory and Practical. (NA) indicates that during that reporting period, no students tested and no data is available. Wherever you choose to prepare for your license, be sure to ask to see their school’s examination pass rate!
